What is the 30 Day Slim Down?
A lot of plans out there talks about calories, macros, even fasting but what they don't talk about is what matters the most which is controlling and promoting optimal hormones. This is not only essential for FAT LOSS but it's essential for optimal hormones and health. 

The 30 Day Slim Down is a unique, fat-burning meal plan that lays out your exact breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner, for 4 full weeks.

3 reasons why you’re not losing weight or plateauing while breastfeeding:
✅Hormones: In general so many people dismiss the role that hormones play in, well everything, including weight loss. When you’re breastfeeding (and not ovulating yet) your estrogen and progesterone are typically low. This causes problems for those who want to lose weight because low estrogen can slow down our metabolism making it harder for us to drop lbs. The combination of low estrogen and progesterone makes us a lot more sensitive to sugar and carbohydrates not only making us crave them more but making our insulin more sensitive when we do eat them. Which of course is going to make it harder for us to lose weight, especially belly fat.

✅Adrenal Function: Late night, mid-night and early morning feedings are far too familiar for breastfeeding moms during that newborn phase. The lack of sleep paired with the estrogen/progesterone state during a highly stressful time can really jack up or cortisol levels (stress hormone) and send our adrenals into working in overdrive which can cause weight loss resistance.

✅Not Eating Enough or Nutrition Deficiencies: While you’re breast feeding your body needs fat. Keep in mind that most of your milk is made up of fat. So if your body is not getting enough fuel, or the right fuel from what you’re eating your body will hold on to fat stores. You have to fuel properly to get your body to relax, trust you and starting letting those fat stores go (shrink). In your bodies defense, this is it’s way of protecting you and your baby from starvation.

The slim down helps you support all of the above, while nourishing your body so that it can produce the best quality milk for your baby. Hundreds of Mom's work with me post baby to heal their bodies on the inside and out and restore their nutrients and health so they can start thriving.  Not to mention, they get to lose baby weight and meet their physical goals as well.

It used to be painful to stay lean and the second I would go into a bulking phase, I would rapidly gain weight👆🏻. Then I’d have to fight so hard to get lean again. Why? Because doing the bulk/cut thing or even yo-yo dieting (which is something more of you can probably relate to) can mess👏🏻 your 👏🏻hormonal 👏🏻system 👏🏻up.

If you know anything about my nutrition programs you should know that ALL of them focus heavily on optimizing hormones (especially insulin) for fast, effective, lasting, healthy results. “Cutting” after bulking can decrease testosterone, increase cortisol and in general just negatively impact your metabolism.

After I realized just how much bulk/cut (or yo-yo dieting) impacted my hormones I started eating to HELP my hormones, not hurt them with programs like my 30 Day Slim Down. And I’ve never turned back since. I actually have 4-5 lbs MORE lean mass now then I did then which is hilarious bc the whole point of bulking is to gain muscle 🤪😆

Frequently Asked Questions:  
Is this program breastfeeding friendly? Yes! Many breastfeeding Mom's have participated in the slim down and all have been able to lose weight without losing milk supply. Nancy recommends waiting 4-6 weeks post delivery for milk to come in and be well established before starting any diet program. Once milk has been established, the slim down is safe and very effective for breastfeeding Mom's. On page 9 of your digital download, you will find customization tips for breastfeeding Mom's.  

I'm picky! Will I like these foods? This plan gives you the option to swap ingredients out with other options from the master menu if you don't like/can't eat something. There are no "weird" foods. It's all things you'd find in your local grocery store. 

Can I do this plan if I am trying to get pregnant?  You can!  This plan is all real whole foods and is no risk to those trying to conceive. If any concerns, feel free to speak with your doctor. 

Does the program include workouts?! The plan does not include a workout program, but it does have activity guidelines to let you know how much exercise you should be aiming for while on the Slim Down. Nancy will add a weekly workout for those who want more guidance on exactly what to do for activity to the private Facebook community throughout the 30 day challenge. 

Is this plan vegan friendly?  No. This is not a plan that can be easily tweaked for strict vegans.

Is this plan vegetarian friendly? Yes, totally! The plan does includes a bunch of non-meat protein choices such as organic tofu, eggs, vegan protein powder, and fish. Most meat substitutes are not allowed, but I do approve “Beyond Meat” to also use as a protein option on the plan. I have had many vegetarians do the plan and they easily sub out meat that is scheduled in meals for other protein approved options. They find that it’s an easy sub and still have lots of success on the plan. 

Does this plan require a lot of prep and complex recipes? This plan includes simple recipes that can be made in 30 minutes or less. We provide meal prep sheets to help your prep be easy and straightforward.  The recipes are quick and easy to follow and made with simple ingredients that you probably already own in your kitchen (with maybe a few new additions).
